Hotel Overview
Hospes Palace del Bailío, the first and only five star hotel in Cordoba, is located in the historical heart of the caliphate. It was built between the 16th and 18th centuries, and has been declared a 'property of cultural heritage'. Nowadays, this stunning accomodation is a must for a stylish Andalucian break.
The facilities
A good range of facilities here, despite the hotel's small 'n' intimate boutique status. There's a rare plant garden and terrace for evening drinks, a tapas restaurant that overlooks the ruins of a Roman villa and a full-service Bodyna health spa. There's also an indoor and outdoor pool and fitness centre.
The rooms
Each of Hospes Palace del Bailío's 53 rooms are crisp and contemporary in style. They perfectly complement the building's olde-world roots, and have kept some charming original features intact. All have at least queen-size beds, flat screen televisions and Wi-Fi. The higher room categories have lovely private balconies.
