Riad Le Jardin d'Abdou is situated in the oldest part of Marrakech's medina, around a fifteen-minute walk from Jmaa el Fna. This area feels very authentic and antiquated, nicely out of reach of the main tourist hordes. Marrakech's famous souks never sleep, bustling with orange juice sellers, piles of silverware and spices, performing monkeys and loaded pack animals. This riad provides the perfect place to relax and unwind after a busy day soaking it all up.

The facilities

There's a good range of facilities here. There's a lovely pool area and small hammam (be sure to experience this at least once during your stay), plus a cosy living room. Traditional Moroccan cuisine is prepared in the kitchens, and served either in the dining room or by the poolside. There's also a romantic, candle-lit terrace with views across the city.

The rooms

Each of Riad Le Jardin d'Abdou nine bedrooms has been meticulously restored by the French owners. All have the traditional tadelakt bathrooms and are individually styled, lending a very 'boutique' feel to the place. Furnishings are wrought of copper, hand-carved wood and thatching, all local craftsmanship. All have air conditioning.
