Riad Al Jazira comprises of three traditional Moroccan guesthouses knocked into one. This means that it's much more spacious and airy than some other riads in the city, and has a choice of impeccably-appointed courtyards to lounge around in (a very big plus, since the intimate atmosphere of most traditional riads means that finding a spot on your own can be tricky).

The facilities

There's a rooftop terrace with views across the medina, plus a lovely pool area in one of the courtyards. Extensive spa treatments are catered for, including the ubiquitous hammam and massages, and there's even a local henna-expert on call. For those who want to experience Marrakechi craftsmanship, the riad can organise cookery and pottery classes (with advanced notice).

The rooms

Each of Riad Al Jazira's 15 guestrooms are clean-lined and whiter-than-white. All are scattered with a heady mix of Moroccan and Western furnishings and open out onto palm-scattered courtyards.
