The Pavillion du Golf is a luxury hotel in Marrakech, which benefits enormously from its quiet setting on the edge of a golf course, with a smattering of palm trees and the snowy peaks of the Atlas Mountains thrown in for good measure. As anyone who's previously travelled to Marrakech will know, any smidgen of tranquillity you can find is true gold dust.

The facilities

The lake-view swimming pool is the star attraction here (apart from the Michelin-starred restaurant, of course, but more on that later). Sitting pretty next to the golf course, it makes the most of those stunning Atlas panoramas. Gourmet restaurant Dar Enassim, headed by top French chef Fabrice Vulin, serves up chic French cuisine in this exotic environment.

The rooms

Each of the Pavillion du Golf's 44 suites is elegant and refined. They come with all mod cons: flat screen televisions, DVD players, wifi access and 24 hour room service. Bathrooms are great, with deep soaking tubs and separate showers.
