Ocean Vagabond is located near Essaouira's main medina, on the Moroccan coastline. It was built with its breathtaking surroundings in mind, with large picture windows to let in lots of light and show off the panoramic views. The public living room is light and airy, with a five-metre-high ceiling. The hotel was built from rough-cast white stone, with pale salted stone framing the windows and sides. The interior is built to emulate the shape of the waves on the nearby beach, with rounded doors, windows and a stair-well, as well as curving corridors.

The facilities

The restaurant serves Moroccan cuisine on the terrace. Food is seasonal and locally sourced. The hotel's beautiful garden houses an outdoor swimming pool and separate spa treatment rooms, which offer relaxing Hammam and massages.

The rooms

The fourteen rooms and suites at Ocean Vagabond open out onto private terraces with a great view of the sea. The rooms are all individually decorated, with bathrooms made out of natural marble and tadlakt. All rooms have twenty inch LCD TVs, international satellite channels, telephone, safe, mini bar and room service.
