Formally an 18th-century stately residence, Hotel Villa Michelangelo is a sprawling villa set atop a hill surrounded by the lush green expanse of the Berici Hills in Veneto. The swimming pool is a little oasis under an atrium-style ceiling with a natural stone fireplace and views down to the olive groves.Tables and chairs are perched on the outside terrace and a pool snack bar is available whenever the pool is open. Golf die-hards can take in a round at the Colli Berici Golf Club's 18-hole course. Hotel guests benefit from special rates and even better than that, the course is open all year round.

The Villa has fifty-two luxurious rooms, of which six are suites and four are suitable for families. Although they differ in size and layout, you can expect marble, parquet or moquette floors, heavy draped curtains, beamed ceilings and soft furnishings. Rooms are spacious and some have sliding doors. Air conditioning is a welcome necessity in the summer months and computer access points and satellite TV are well received.
