Bauer Il Palazzo is luxury hotel in Venice, dating back to the 18th-century. Located directly on the Grand Canal, it is something of an institution in the city, mixing antiquated interiors and fine artworks with all mod cons and impeccable staff. There's a lovely lounge-cum-breakfast area, Settimo Cielo, which is situated on the seventh floor and so enjoys gorgeous views over the city.
