La Plage Resort is located in Taormina, a small coastal town on the east coast of Sicily. Elegantly appointed, it faces the beautiful island nature reserve of Isola Bella. It enjoys an incomparable view of Mount Etna, the highest volcano in Europe, as well as sweeping sea views.
The facilities
The restaurant serves contemporary Sicilian cuisine with an Asian twist. There's a laid-back Beach Bar and room service runs throughout the day until 10:30 pm. The spa is sumptuous, offering a range of treatments, and there's a lovely private beach (pebbled), a sauna and steam room.
The rooms
Each of the 61 villas at La Plage Resort shares the same classic Italian style as its communal areas. All are beautifully-appointed with private gardens, air conditioning, private safes and evening turndown. The higher classes boast private pools and seaviews.
