Masseria San Domenico is a luxury hotel 500 meters from the Adriatic coast in the Puglia region of Italy. The building itself dates back to the 15th century, when it was used by the Knights of Malta as a watchtower. It was lovingly restored in the early 1990s and opened as a luxury hotel in 1996.

The facilities

The centerpiece of the Masseria San Domenico is its huge, irregular-shaped swimming pool encircled by rocks and plants, which stands amidst 100 hectares of olive groves and orchards. The pool is filled with naturally-filtered sea-water, and has lots of sun lounges for tanning on its edge.

Masseria San Domenico has a newly built thalassotherapy Spa with a vast array of face, body and massage treatments. There is also a top notch 18 hole golf course, and free transfer on the hour to the luxury hotel's private beach.

The luxury hotel's restaurant serves up fine regional cuisine, with many ingredients grown in the kitchen garden.

The luxury hotel has 45 rooms, all comfortable and extremely clean and spacious. The junior suites are the best value for money, with private patios that edge onto olive groves. All rooms at Masseria San Domenico have internet access.
