CAPUTMUNDISUITE is a petite boutique hotel in central Rome. It's housed in an exclusive 18th-century villa, within walking distance to the St Peter's Basilica and the Sistine Chapel. Plaza Di Spagna, Piazza Navona and the Via Condotti are close by too, making this an ideal bolt hole for short city stopovers, as well as longer breaks.

The facilities

You'd hardly expect full-on frills in a place like this; facilities here are minimal, and the focus is placed solely on the suites. That said, a gorgeous breakfast spread is laid out each morning (the home-made preserves are divine) and owner Anna Maria is on hand for all restaurant recommendations, organising spa appointments and laundry services. She also masterminds personal walking maps for each guest during their stay.

Each suite has been individually decorated to an impeccable standard. Plush fabrics, elegant furnishings and slivers of techy gadgetry feature in each, like flat screen televisions and DVD players.
