Palazzo Viviani - Castello di Montegridolfo is a luxury hotel in Valconca valley, close to the Adriatic Sea. Built in the 14th century, the property reopend as a luxury hotel after restoration overseen by fashion designer Alberta Ferretti. The setting is magical, with views taking in a valley dotted with abandoned fortresses, towers and ancient churches.

The facilities

You can really indulge yourself here: a subterranean restaurant serves up gastronomic Italian fare, which can be eaten in the summer months on the terrace to a backdrop of stunning sea views. The wine cellar is excellently stocked, and the outdoor pool also enjoys great views.

The rooms

Castello di Montegridolfo has 54 air conditioned guestrooms split between four different sites (stay in suites in the hotel's main building or in villa apartment blocks nearby). All rooms in the main building have antiques and original features from the old palace building (for example, one suite is named The Fresco Bedroom, another The Chrystal Bedroom). Modern villas have their own kitchenettes, while all rooms have satellite TV and spacious bathrooms.
