The Villa Cortine Palace Hotel is a large luxury hotel on Italy's Lake Garda. The original palazzo building has been added to to accommodate more guestrooms, which has resulted in a pleasing architectural mish-mash of additions to the original structure. The interior decor reflects this exterior jumble, ranging from Renaissance to neoclassical. The luxury hotel is, however, grand and tasteful throughout, with its restored paintings, mosaics and exposed beams cultivating a refined atmosphere.
The facilities
The luxury hotel has two restaurants. The main restaurant is for formal dining, serving up Mediterranean, Italian and international meals. The second is a summer grill that serves a barbeque lunch on the beach between June and September. The stuccoed luxury hotel bar is found in the original building, and proves to be a suitably opulent setting for a good drink.
The Villa Cortine has a heated outdoor pool, and guests can indulge in in-room massages and beauty treatments. There are also tennis courts; bike rental and water sports can also be arranged.
