Rosa Alpina 4 Stars
"A picture-postcard ski chalet in the lee of the Dolomites, this is a family run venture with excellent standards of service."
Hotel Overview
Rosa Alpina is a family run luxury hotel in village of San Cassiano, nestled in the stunning Italian Dolomite mountains.
Guests get the best out of their alpine surroundings at the Rosa Alpina. In summer, sports include world-class mountain biking and hiking with trails starting right at the hotel, rock climbing, horse riding and paragliding. In winter, the luxury hotel is home to the Dolomiti Superski circuit with 1200km of slopes and 460 ski lifts, considered one of the world's top skiing areas. There are also cross-country skiing trails nearby.
The unique beauty of the Dolomites can also be discovered on snowshoe excursions, horse-drawn sleigh rides and a breath-taking helicopter flight, all making guests' stays totally unforgettable.
The facilities
The luxury hotel's renowned Beauty Spa has a wide range of pampering treatments, with most of the beauty preparations home-made from herbal ingredients. Guests enjoy the spa's indoor pool, steam bath, sauna, Jacuzzi and gym, which are all great for rejuvenating in style.
Rosa Alpina has three restaurants. The informal Wine Bar & Grill serves home-made pasta dishes and pizzas baked in a traditional wood oven, while the classic Alpine brasserie Stuben keeps the fondue flowing. The exclusive, ten-table gourmet restaurant St. Hubertus is one of the best in the region, and its Head chef Norbert Niederkofler earned his second Michelin star in autumn 2006.
The rooms
The luxury hotel's 50 rooms are all individually decorated in a traditional mountain lodge-style, with beeswax wood furniture, pale marble, antique wood floors and creamy linens. The rooms have their own fireplaces and satellite TV.

"If the fact that you might bump into regulars like Formula 1 big noise Flavio Briatore and Prince Albert of Monaco in your bathrobe doesn't put you off visiting the latter, you'll find one of the most atmospheric boltholes in the Alps, deftly blending traditional Alpine furnishings with chic modern style."
