Situated on Willingdon Island with sweeping views of Cochin harbour, the Vivanta by Taj - Malabar, Cochin is a beautifully appointed luxury hotel in the heart of the city. Built in 1935, it blends old-world charm with top-notch modern luxuries: a fine choice for business or leisure travellers.
The facilities
In typical Taj style, there's a choice of excellent restaurants. The charming River Boat takes inspiration from traditional kettuvallam boats, a over-water eatery serving regional Kerelan cuisine. The Thai Pavillion dishes out delicate Thai fare, whilst the Mattancherry Bar is the place to head for evening cocktails. There's a lovely pool area (complete with designated kid's pool), plus an award-winning spa, steam room and gym.
