The Lodge at Pico Bonito is a luxury resort situated amidst the wildlife and vegetation of Central America's largest unexplored forest. With the Pico Bonito National Park as its backdrop, adventure and nature are at the heart of this hotel. The Lodge boasts a long list of activities, from energetic to relaxing. Of course if you do feel like you're having a nature overload the hotel is happy to arrange trips to the resort's nearest city.

The facilities

The Lodge makes good use of its surroundings, guests can chose to go white water rafting, horseback riding, boating, snorkelling, even bird watching from one of several multi-storey canopy observation towers. The resort owns miles of private trails and offers a number of different hikes through the forest, witnessing rare wildlife, streams and waterfalls. A butterfly farm and serpentarium are also within the hotel's grounds, and there's an outdoor pool and on-site spa too.

The rooms

Accommodation at The Lodge at Pico Bonito is comprised of 22 secluded cabins which come in four varieties, the biggest different between them being the size of the bed. All are decorated with local artwork and come with a private bathroom with shower and a private veranda with a hammock.
