Aegean Suites is a sophisticated boutique hotel in Skiathos. It occupies a lovely setting, surrounded by olive trees and overlooking the spectacular Megali Ammos beach. It's a glamorous, high-fashion retreat for a high-fashion crowd; some 60 original works of art from up-and-coming artists are displayed throughout as part of Aegean Suite's permanent collection.

The facilities

The Pavillion breakfast terrace enjoys lovely views across the Aegean Sea, a great way to start the day. There are two restaurants; Karavia is a laid-back, poolside dining space for light lunches and champagne cocktails, whilst Pelagos is more formal and serves gourmet Mediterranean fare. The Bourbon & Champagne Bar is a good spot for a nightcap.

The swimming pool is sublime and boasts uninterrupted sea views. There's also an open-air Jacuzzi and a beauty centre that offers holistic treatments and massages. There's even a private helicopter, jet and yacht rental service available.

The rooms

The hotel's 20 luxurious suites all share the same sumptuous, contemporary style as its communal areas. All are impeccably appointed, with separate living areas, private verandas and spacious bedrooms as standard. Deluxe Suites have those sought-after sea views and little extras, a fireplace perhaps, or a kitchen. The highest room class, the Heaven Suites, do not disappoint, and boast Jacuzzi tubs on their verandas and lavish interiors.
