On the Rocks is a boutique hotel on the seafront just outside the village of Imerovigli, Santorini. Set in caves whittled into the coastal rocks, it's a fabulous setting for unusual luxury. Imerovigli itself is a lovely village - if you decide to explore outside of On the Rocks, take a taxi in to town to sample traditional Greek cooking at a local taverna.

The facilities

Facilities here are small-scale but chic, in keeping with the quiet surrounds. The gorgeous rooftop pool is the centrepiece, and a pool bar serves light Greek snacks and cocktails. Those in need of some serious stress relief can book in a massage or head to the steam room, sauna or indoor Jacuzzi. Wi-Fi is available for free in the lobby.

Each of On the Rocks' 21 rooms and suites is smart, minimalist and individually decorated in crisp pastels and white. All have air conditioning, kitchenettes and lounge areas, and higher-category rooms have verandas with stunning sea views.
