Sitting away from the heat of Corfu Town, the Palace cools off in its own shady gardens, looking out over the sparkling setting of Garitsa Bay. A great five-star for families.

The facilities

Enjoy the swimming pools and BBQs with live orchestra and traditional Greek dancing - do watch where you're smashing those plates.

Scheria restaurant serves local cuisine as well as international dishes, with a wide terrace for open air dining. The naughty can head to one of the two cocktail bars, while the nice slink off to the hotel gym. A luxury spa offers a range of massages, face and body treatments, too.

The rooms

All the 112 woody rooms come with their own terrace (or at least a balcony). Plenty of tecchie add-ons for those who want to stay in their rooms; as well as air-con and in-room movies. All rooms have marble baths.
