Seehotel opened its door in 1993, in Neuklostersee in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. This boutique hote is formed by two converted farmhouses, one of which dates back to the beginning of the 19th-century. Only two hours by car from Berlin, two hours from Hamburg and half and hour from the Baltic Sea, its in a prime holidaying location.

The facilities

The boutique hotel's restaurant has a relaxed, cheerful ambience, with wooden flooring and bright colours, it has a Mediterranean feel. In warmer weather, dinner can be taken outside on the terrace, under white parasols, with a wonderful view over the lake. For the rest of the year, there's the pretty surrounds of the wintergarden.

The food is mostly regional but with international influences prepared on high level. A four-course-dinner set dinner is available, and prepared from fresh, seasonal ingredients. A fine selection of wines from France, Italy, Austria and Germany complements the cuisine.

The rooms

There are several possibilities for guests' accommodation in this boutique hotel. There's the actual bedrooms and the little suite tucked away in the ancient farmhouse. There are a few double rooms with private wintergardens and seperate entrances at the back of the barn, the grand suite in the bar, the three bungalows and - the latest - eight maisonette-suites in the new thermal-house.

Every room and every bathroom has its own design, materiality and colour. Cupboards and beds were specially designed for the boutique hotel. Selected antiques are scattered about, and each guest receives a beautiful flower arrangement, in-room on arrival.
