Frankfurt's funkiest design hotel, 25 Hours by Levi's, has cool cowboy styling that manages to be neither gimmicky or oppressive. Decor is all brushed silver, indigo blues and soft greys, falling in to create the perfect minimalist city crashpad. Watch out for the dinky cowboy boot lamps.

The facilities

The Red Tab by Nykke and Kokki restaurant serves wholesome fare, with fresh farmhouse bread a speciality. It's great for light meals and takeaways - tuck in to salads, wraps and desserts, all made with local organic ingredients.

The Living Room is a 25 Hours' self-styled 'urban lounge' that's great for informal meetings or just a coffee - curl up on one of the pop-art beanbags to really relax. Two separate meeting rooms are also available.

The rooms

There are 71 rooms and five spacious XL Studios to choose from, all decorated with Americana-tinged styles from six decades of the 20th-century. Sounds grand, but all are blue-jeans simple and cool. Tech treats include flatsceen TVs, iHomes and free Wi-Fi.
