Sister to the Sezz in Paris, the Hotel Sezz Saint-Tropez is a design hotel from Starck protégée Christophe Pillet. Contemporary and very cool, where its Parisian sibling is all urban sass the Saint Tropez stays true to its glamorous location, with a colour palette straight out of the 1950's (white, light grey, rich browns and sky blue), candles by perfumer Francis Kurkdjian and airy interiors that are a complement to the sunshine and sea breezes.

The facilities

Dining here is no ordinary experience, but then this isn't an ordinary hotel. The gourmet restaurant is headed by Michelin-starred chef Pierre Gagnaire, whilst the champagne bar overflows with Dom Pérignon. Spa Sezz by Payot is a destination in itself, and includes a Jacuzzi, steam room and yoga lessons at sunrise and sunset.

The rooms

Each of Hotel Sezz Saint-Tropez's 33 bungalows, 'cocoons' and villas each have their own private terrace and garden. Minimalist in style, all of the furnishings (except the flat screen televisions) have been designed by Pillet, with input from various American and Italian furniture editors (including Emeco, Porro, Oluce, Mazzega,Varaschin, Fantini, Boffi, Duravit). Our top tip? For the ultimate in Tropezian glamour, opt for one of the two villas with private pools.
