La Benechie is located in the Dordogne in a village called St Andre near the beautiful medieval village of Sarlat. The house was built somewhere in the 15th-century and is situated on a hill overlooking a valley with 60 acres of forest and farmland around it.

The facilities

The boutique hotel offers a variety of activities to their guests. There is a swimming pool that is hidden about 20 meters below the main house. The pool even has a diving board and is 7 x 12 meters. A separate kitchen, toilet, shower room, sauna and poolroom with a snooker table are all within reach. Volleyball courts are great for the enjoyment of groups or families. The sandbox is a great location for young ones to play while parents relax on the terraces. The boutique hotel even has a small four hole golf course and nine hole putting green. If interested in watersports, guests can canoe or fish on the river.

The rooms

The main house of the boutique hotel has three bedrooms (one ensuite) and a further shower room. The views from the master bedroom are beautiful. There are two other properties near the main house that are part of the overall 'estate'. One is a converted barn that has four double bedrooms and one bathroom. The other is a small idyllic house in a meadow behind the main house some 100 meters away that has one bedroom and a shower room. There is also a tiny little house that is basically one bedroom with doors opening towards another lovely meadow. A young couple could stay there (or cook, nanny, etc.) and use the sanitary facilities of the pool house which is some ten meters away. In total the property can sleep upto eight adults and seven children very comfortably. The boutique hotel has nine double bedrooms in four different houses/cottages.

All houses have living rooms and fully fitted kitchens. This boutique hotel offers the ideal stay for two or three families holidaying together since everyone has their own space. But if they wish they can dine together on the terrace of the main house with fabulous views over the valley.
