Les Hautes Roches is a luxury hotel located on the outskirts of Rochecarbon. Originally an 18th-century manor house, the hotel is nestled into the side of a cliff overlooking the Loire River. Many of the rooms have been sculptured from the cliff, although this novelty is also a statement of conservation in the area.

The facilities

At Les Hautes Roches you can enjoy tea on the well-kept lawns or take a swim in the outdoor pool. If you wish to do something more active you'll find a range of recreational activities close by such as bilking, hiking, horseback riding, rafting and canoeing. For all you adventurers there's hot-air balloon rides and boat trips along the Loire River and several neighbouring chateaus waiting to be explored. Wine buffs will be pleased to know wine tours are available where you can visit vineyards and cellars and take part in wine tasting too.

The rooms

There are 14 rooms, 12 of which are sculpted from the cliff face. All are individually decorated and come equipped with satellite TV, air conditioning and complimentary newspaper.
