Hotel Overview
Hôtel des Académies et des Arts is a fab little Parisian boutique hotel, located next to the Jardin du Luxembourg and Montparnasse. It styles itself as being 'dedicated to the creative arts', a fact much evident within its kooky, design-led walls. Indeed, the very street on which it lies is where Modigliani had his studio.
The facilities
Facilities are kept to a minimum here. There's a quaint tea room, Chez Charlotte, that serves macaroons by Pierre Herme, along with other afternoon nibbles. As well as the expected artworks dotted around (the Cartier Exhibition, a next-door neighbour, stages regular exhibitions), there's also a cosy bar area and a lovely little courtyard.
The rooms
Each of the Hôtel des Académies et des Arts' 20 rooms is light-filled and sumptuously decorated in plush fabrics and darkwood furnishings. All are filled with Jérôme Mesnager's 'white body' murals. Each room has a queen-sized bed, flat-screen television, wifi, and light, airy bathrooms. The perfect city crash pad.

Cots are available, but there's no room for extra beds in rooms. It's more an adult affair.
