Domaine de Divonne is a large golf and spa resort in Divonne-les-Bains, near Geneva. It look out over the French Alps and Mont Blanc, and is surrounded by swathes of private parkland. It boasts plentiful amenities, and although its business-orientated, this should not put off leisure travellers.

The facilities

The star attractions here are the 18-hole golf course and casino (reputedly one of the finest in France, with a mammoth 355 slot machines and gaming tables). There's a choice of 5 restaurants, one of which holds a Michelin star, as well as a chic bar area for evening cocktails. For sport enthusiasts, there's a fitness centre, Jacuzzi, sauna, steam bath, multiple tennis courts and horseback riding - phew.

The real focus here (apart from keeping fit that is) is on the corporate market. A grand total of 17 conference rooms (that can hold anything from 5 to 350 people), a screening rooms (250-seater) and an extensive business centre are all available on-site. There's also an underground parking and valet service.
