Seeko'o Hotel, Bordeaux, France
Hotel Overview
Seeko'o is a sleek design hotel in Bordeaux. Meaning 'iceberg' in the Inuit language, it is a white-on-white bolthole, located on the quayside and close to some of the best restaurants and boutiques in the area. Take a few days away from the capital and explore this lovely wine-country region in style.
The facilities
In keeping with its boutique atmosphere, facilities here are minimal. There's no restaurant, but staff are happy to recommend the best of what's around. There is a lovely room service menu though, that runs until 11:00 pm, and has on it a great selection of comfort food, from Italian sharing platters to Camembert baked in honey. There's also a great little bar area.
The rooms
Each of the 45 rooms in Seeko'o share the same minimalist palette as the rest of the hotel. White linens and curtains, sharp tailoring and spacious, airy surrounds (now that's a change from Paris). The best rooms have sexy circular beds, and bathrooms are great: plenty of slate, stand-alone washbasins and designer toiletries.
