Hotel Overview
La Maison is a boutique hotel, located in the very heart of Bordeaux. Surrounded by beautiful lawns and the remains of a working farm (an 18th-century stable block, containing extra bedrooms and a library, lies at the end of the garden). The decor is surprisingly contemporary for such a bucolic landscape, but Carole and Pierre, the stylish owners, have pulled things off nicely.
The rooms
In the main house, there's a wine bar and dining room, but the focus here really is on the rooms. Sleek and modern, all furniture is designed by the owners and the bedlinen has been shipped in from Italy. Hermes products are a welcome addition to the bathrooms.
