The Almyra is a contemporary boutique resort on Paphos, a sister hotel to the Anassa and the Annabelle. It is sleek and stylish enough to keep the most discerning grown-up happy, but boasts excellent children's facilities too. Set in 8 acres of landscaped gardens with unobstructed views of the harbour, it is one of the few places where a family holiday does not mean a compromise on style.

The facilities

Starting with the little ones, the hotel has a children's pool, a crèche and babysitting service, child-friendly menus in the restaurants and a special play area. There's an adults-only pool on site too, so loved-up couples have opportunity to escape boisterous families without too much trouble. There are two restaurants, including the ultra-chic Notios (with a head chef poached from London's Nobu).

The rooms

Each of the Almyra's 189 rooms are cool and spacious, with sharp white-on-white décor. There are myriad options, and plenty of interconnecting rooms and specialised suites for families. Every room has floor-to-ceiling windows with views over the sea or landscaped gardens, complimentary wifi and flat screen televisions.
