Formally a 17th-century monastery which has been lovingly restored, this 91-room, five star luxury hotel was previously the Cloister Santa Teresa. It embraces two periods - the colonial period of the monastery (reflected in its high ceilings and hand-painted woods) and the Republic era (expressed in a décor reminiscent of the gold guild and plentiful mirrors of Versailles).
