Tucker's Point 5 Stars
"A super-exclusive luxury resort on Bermuda, of old-school charms, high-colonial style and impeccable staff."
Hotel Overview
Tucker's Point is an exclusive luxury resort on Bermuda. When it threw open its crisp white doors, it was the first hotel to do so in over 35 years; Bermuda's building regulations are so draconian it's near-impossible to get anything approved. When the people behind Tucker's Point managed to do so, the hotel world knew it was in for something special.
The facilities
Extensive and top-notch. The Point restaurant is elegant and sophisticated, with a menu that relies heavily on locally-sourced ingredients; the wine cellar holds over 3000 fine vintages. There's a more informal option at The Cafe, a cosy French bistro or to the pergola-shaded Beach Club Restaurant. The dining areas adhere to a strict dress code; open-necked shirts and short skirts need not apply.
There are myriad watersports to try out at the beach club, as well as four swimming pools, a croquet court, an 18-hole championship golf course, four clay tennis courts, a fitness centre and a yoga and tai-chi lawn. The spa is sybaritic, with a world-class array of treatments including honey and cane sugar scrubs, marine mud wraps and even a "Glamorous Gold Therapy".
The rooms
Each of the 88 guestrooms at Tucker's Point shares the same sophisticated colonial style as its communal areas. All are impeccably well-appointed with private balconies or terraces, flat screen televisions, luxurious Mascioni linens and Lili of Bermuda toiletries.
