Named for the famous powdery pink beach on which it sits, Coral Sands is an intimate boutique luxury retreat with English colonial influences and decadent amenities. Located on Harbour Island off the northern coast of Eleuthera, the resort is nearby charming Dunmore Town, populated with pastel houses and famously friendly locals. A recent renovation of the resort by renowned designer Barbara Hulanicki has magnificently rejuvenated the rooms and facilities, bringing a comfortable modernity that evokes the feel of a close friend’s home. The resort's eight acres of landscaped tropical grounds incorporate palms, hibiscus, bougainvillea and jasmine, and of course, access to pristine white sand beaches.

The facilities

Coral Sands offers complimentary beach towels and equipment, including sea kayaks, boogie boards and pal-thatched tiki huts. The heated lagoon pool is located within earshot of the gently breaking waves and features poolside day beds, ideal for lounging. If you want to relax out of the sun, the resort’s cosy library is equipped with a billiards table and board games.

The resort’s Terrace Restaurant overlooks the pool and the Caribbean Sea and features distinctive cuisine from chef Ludovic Jarland. The Beach Bar & Lounge is located just off the restaurant terrace and is ideally suited for relaxing with a cocktail in style and comfort.

The rooms

The 36 spacious rooms and suites feature garden or ocean views, many from furnished private balconies. Sumptuously appointed with wine-coloured hardwood floors, louvered shutters and teak beds, the rooms are luxurious but classically understated. Luxe king beds come in every room and L’Occitane products come standard in the bathrooms.
