As the closest boutique hotel to the glacier, all sorts of different excursions are available to explore the ice. Step aboard the boutique hotel's boat and cruise around the massive glacier. Or, take a short walk around the shoreline with one of Hosteria Los Notros' guides, thereby learning everything you ever wanted to know about the Perito Moreno Glacier. For something more adventurous, a longer excursion called "Big Ice" is available where guests spend six hours hiking on the glacier. Then, after you fully explore Perito Moreno, be sure to ask about the horse riding or 4x4 excursions the boutique hotel offers.

After a long day of trekking out in the cold, guests can indulge in some much needed relaxation with a massage from one of the boutique hotel's resident masseuses. In the evening, relax on a comfortable lounger with fantastic views of the glacier while the resident sommelier helps you choose from a list of 150 Argentine fine wines.

The Hosteria Los Notros' restaurant is the perfect setting for a fine meal with extraordinary views of the Perito Moreno Glacier through its wide picture windows. The décor is traditional Argentine rural with rustic wooden beams, a plethora of weavings, and simple polished wooden tables. The menu is traditional Argentine fare with copious amounts of meat and wine. The Patagonian lamb is highly recommended, and all the fish is locally sourced. It's the kind of robust food needed after a long day climbing the ice.

In the morning, breakfast is served in the restaurant and offers the usual continental fare. Lunch is usually served as a box lunch so it can be taken on your glacier trip and enjoyed as a gourmet picnic on the ice. Dishes for lunch usually include locally-reared beef or fish en papillote with steamed vegetables.

The rooms

The boutique hotel has 32 extremely cozy rooms all facing the Glacier, guaranteeing fantastic views. Continuing with Los Notros' relaxed, rustic feel, all of the rooms are tasteful with wooden ceilings and monochrome, though brightly painted, walls. The Cascada Rooms are housed in a simple wooden building a short walk from the main building reachable by a charming bridge in the lenga forest and the other premium and superior rooms are based in the new wing of the lodge with jacuzzis. Rooms do not have telephones or TVs in order to allow guests to fully appreciate the boutique hotel's incredible surroundings. However there are a couple computers with WiFi available in the main lounge.
