Review of Tailor Made Hotel, by Harry Hastings

Tailor Made Hotel is the latest boutique hotel to open its doors in Buenos Aires' fashionable district of Las Cañitas.

The facilities

Those arriving in Buenos Aires with stockpiles of dirty laundry and a rapacious appetite will approve of the Tailor Made Hotel's stringent 'no extra charges' policy. This quirky touch invariably gives rise to lazy breakfasts of free coffee refills, medialunas (Argentine croissants) and excessive consumption of the boutique hotel's free bottled water. But beware: the bottles of wine left in each room are an exception to the rule!

The rooms

Tailor Made Hotel has only five rooms, each equipped with queen-sized bed, mini-bar, room safe and a complimentary Time Out Buenos Aires city guide. Rooms 1, 2 and 3 overlook the quiet, tree-lined Arce Street, each varying in size and loyal to a clean-lined minimalist blueprint.

For the top slot we'd recommend booking into the boutique hotel's more spacious Room 5 with its private terrace and hot tub (albeit bordered by a pair of towering apartment blocks).
