Casa Sur is a design-led hotel, located in one of the smartest areas of Buenos Aires, Recoleta. A firm favourite with those in the know, its calm, contemporary décor, smallish size and impeccable staff are fast making it one of the best hideaways in the city. It's situated close to several distinguished art galleries, as well as myriad cafes, restaurants and parks.

The facilities

Plentiful facilities here, especially considering the size. There's spa treatments on site, including hydrotherapy massages, top-notch beauty treatments and facials galore. All take place in a chic cream-marbled space, scattered with white lillies and softly burning candles. There's also an on-site fitness centre and designated 'relax room'.

The restaurant serves elegant French cuisine, as well as providing a sumptuous breakfast spread each morning, and afternoon tea served at 5:00 pm sharp. The lounge and lobby bar are more laid back, cosy spaces for tapas and long drinks in the evening.

The rooms

Each of Casa Sur's 36 bedrooms is luxuriously appointed, in keeping with the quality atmosphere of the hotel. Flat screen televisions, DVD players and pillow menus feature in each. Bathrooms are stocked with delicious L'Occitane toiletries, and the better rooms have private balconies and even Jacuzzis.
