“Rural chic meets modern luxury at this exquisite family-run estate, tucked away on 1300 acres of farmland in Camargue near Arles.”

Le Mas de Peint is an elegant luxury hotel, tucked away in the bucolic landscape of Arles, Provence. The estate is looked after by Lucille and Jacques Bon, who have preserved the homely feel of this family-run business.

The facilities

Interior designer Lucille has kept the rustic feel of the original 17th-century farmhouse with exposed beams and antiquated furniture throughout. This is no way compromises this luxury hotel, with squashy sofas, a contemporary colour palette and all mod cons adding a real sense of lavishness. There's a large swimming pool on site, as well as the beautiful gardens and a great function space in one of the converted barns.

Dining is a commumal experience at the luxury hotel. Dinner is served on large, rustic tables and feels very apt in such an intimate surroundings. The cuisine is largely centered around local produce, with fresh seafoods, locally-sourced beef and the distinctive red Camargue rice featuring heavily.

The rooms

Just eight rooms and three suites make up this luxury hotel. The are spacious and chicly, but minimally, furnished. Although tradional, each does come equipped with satellite TV, safe, minibar and air conditioning.
