Andronikos Hotel by Jeroen Bergmans

Located on the fringes of Mykonos Town, boutique hotel Andronikos is totally in tune with the Mykonos’ reputation as the most funky, bohemian and glamorous island in Greece. The boxy, white building is in keeping with traditional Mykonian architecture, but its interiors are a riot of contemporary art and cutting-edge designer furniture. The boutique hotel has its own art gallery which displays work by different Greek and international artists every summer. But with abstract canvases and sinuous steel sculptures on the terraces, in the rooms and suites and around the pool, every space in of Andronikos is a showcase for creativity.

The facilities

Guests tend to spend their days enjoying the Greek sunshine around the large pool beside which an enormous, canopied antique daybed takes centre stage. The pool bar serves soft drinks, cocktails and the boutique hotel’s restaurant Ambrosia offers a selection of Greek and international dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Elixir Blue Spa has a sauna, Jacuzzi, hydromassage and a massage area and offers a range of beauty treatments. And to ensure the boutique hotel’s guests always look their best (essential in glitzy Mykonos), the Iron Maiden gym helps them to stay trim.

The rooms

The 58 rooms and suites at Andronikos are spread out across six separate bungalow-style buildings. As it is a bona fide boutique hotel, every room at Andronikos is different, although silk curtains, slate bathrooms and balconies or terraces with views of the pool or the sea are standard. Just like sister property Ostraco Suites next door, they are furnished with an eclectic mix of antique pieces and design classics.
