"A contemporary, good value design hotel in the centre of Madrid, popular with both business and leisure travellers."

Hotel Es Quo Puerta del Sol by Josie van der Schaaf

The luxury Hotel Quo Puerta del Sol is located in central Madrid, right in the busy centre of ‘Kilometro Cero’. From this point all the distances in Spain are counted, and it’s here that the clock strikes on New Years Eve and everyone eats 12 grapes for good luck.

The facilities

Hotel Quo Puerta del Sol is a 4-star luxury hotel that sadly lacks a restaurant. However, they do an extensive buffet breakfast in the morning. The reception is on the street-side of the building and boasts simplicity and functionality over anything audacious and showy. This simple wooden counter is manned by a friendly and helpful staff.

The rooms

Rooms facing the busy street are double glazed and thus, quieter and also have excellent views. The superior rooms in this luxury hotel are on the 7th floor and have a terrace and one even has a Jacuzzi. Guests enjoy panoramic views from the private terraces they’re wide enough to sunbathe on in summer.

All rooms at the luxury hotel are decorated with dark wood, white walls and dark grey headboards and curtains in a velvet-like material. There is a modern feel to the Quo Puerta del Sol, quality materials are used and it is a comfortable luxury hotel in walking distance of ‘El Prado’.
