"Lush, tranquil gardens in the shade of an old monastery, now converted to a luxury hotel: a temple to Italian chic."
The luxury hotel Bulgari Milano in Milan is a masterpiece of accessible yet ultra-contemporary design. Owned by the designer Italian jewellery house Bulgari, this luxury hotel is situated next to the fashion district (where the hotel’s personal shopping service comes in handy), the botanical gardens, the Scala theatre and the Academy of Brera.
The facilities
Bulgari Milano is surrounded by a 4,000 sqm private garden, a hotspot for stylish Milanese residents in the summer. The building itself is modelled on an old monastery and made up of three sections, the oldest of which dates back to the 1700s.
Designed by architect Antonio Citterio, the luxury hotel is full of gorgeous design features: slabs of black marble decorate the lobby, the spa is built with Vicenza stone and Turkish Aphyon, and gold mosaic steps lead into the pool.
The Bulgari Milano’s bar/restaurant attracts plenty of beautiful people with its chic interior and choice of modern Italian dishes. The rooms
Comfort is top priority in the Bulgari Milano’s 52 guestrooms. Fabrics are in light brown and grey, complementing the English oak flooring and black furnishings. The large windows open out onto teak balconies overlooking the luxury hotel’s beautiful garden and the botanical gardens beyond.
The luxury hotel also provides complimentary internet access, plasma screens and satellite TV.
“The type of place where James Bond and Giorgio Armani might meet for a martini.” New York Times 07
"The hotel's real sense of luxury...comes from little details: Tivoli radios, 'elephant-ear' sponges, a choice of incense and a special bath menu (such as candles, rose petals and Champagne)" Conde Nast Traveller 05
All of Europe's 'beautiful people' descend upon here in summer months.

Baby-sitting is available on request and extra beds can be provided. A suite is advised for families.
The pretty garden, a rarity in Milan, means guests eat al fresco whenever possible. The food is fashionably minimal but flavourful. The Bulgari breakfast is the ultimate extravagance as it includes Beluga caviar and will set you back €150.
