"A trendy, high-tech, designer bolthole, this luxury hotel lies right next to San Francisco's MOMA."

Next door to the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Moscone Center and the Metreon entertainment center, the W Hotel of San Francisco is in a prime location for luxury urban chic. The 31-story luxury hotel is modern and hip, with clientele to match.

The facilitlies

Even the lobby is dramatic, as a three-story octagonal structure, complete with several board games and game tables. The glass-roof pool and hot-tub area, next to 5,000-square-foot Bliss Spa, is open 24 hours a day, as is the concierge.

XYZ, the luxury hotel's signature restaurant, attracts celebs such as Sharon Stone and Kanye West, with contemporary Californian cuisine within a beautiful modern interior. There's also a lively bar scene with cocktails and light fare- don’t miss the brownie buffet.

The rooms

The 410 rooms and suites have pillow-top mattresses, goose-down comforters, Waterworks linens, an oversize dark-wood desk and an upholstered chaise longue. Each room also contains a media wall complete with a Sony CD/DVD player, an extensive CD library, and a TV with optional high-speed internet.

Other features include a carafe of water on the bedside table, a snack box packed with wasabi peas and other treats, an Etch-a-Sketch and some with upholstered window seats. Upper floors boast excellent views of the Museum of Modern Art, Yerba Buena Gardens, and/or the Bay Bridge. Bathrooms are super-sleek with green glass countertops and shiny steel sinks and they’re stocked with Bliss products.

Each of the guest rooms at the luxury hotel are fitted out in an attractive coffee au lait, black and ivory color scheme. Night time turn down comes with fortune cookies that read, "Dream in color," "Dance with abandon" among other free spirit commands.

Press Quotes

"The hotel is comfortable as well as chic: all 410 rooms and suites have fluffy goose-down comforters, a carafe of water on the bedside table, and a "Munchie box" with wasabi peas and other goodies. For something sweeter, hit the brownie buffet or catch a movie with a manicure at the 5,000-square-foot Bliss Spa." Conde Nast Traveler 08
