The luxury hotel Le Meridien Lingotto in Turin is extraordinary in terms of design. It was converted from a 1920s Fiat automobile factory by renowned architect Renzo Piano - famous for the Pompidou Centre in Paris. This is where Fiat tested their early production cars, with the site made famous by its use in the car chase scenes of ‘The Italian Job'. The facilities
The luxury hotel’s restaurant, Torpedo, is named after the extraordinary vehicle built in the old Lingotto factory. Overlooking luscious tropical gardens, guests can enjoy a high quality mix of traditional and contemporary regional dishes
To keep fit, guests can use the former Fiat car testing track on the roof of the Meridien Lingotto as a jogging area. There is also a sauna and a hair salon.
