Jacques Garcia's 2003 renovation has turned La Reserve into one of Geneva's most sophisticated luxury hotels. Ten acres of grounds and spectacular views of the lake and Mont Blanc mean that you'll be looking elsewhere most of the time during your stay.
The facilities
Oh, the spa! La Reserve offers a huge range of treatments in 17 treatment rooms from aroma and hydrotherapy to Ayurvedic massages and hot stone treatments. There is also underwater music playing for certain treatments. A kids club will look after the little ones, so it’s family friendly as well. If guests fancy a night on the town, why not try “Le Bar” downstairs? It’s almost always humming with nightlife.
The rooms
The rooms in La Reserve Geneve are dark and cosseting, each themed slightly differently. But the ‘luxury’ part of ‘luxury hotel’ is certainly proven with the flat screens, DVD players and DVD libraries found in each and every room. Inside, Garcia's African safari theme might seem out of kilter with the more sedate style of this part of Switzerland, but it has been executed with his usual flair, wit and attention to detail, and works magnificently. Details include a choice of pillows and sheets and complimentary minibar drinks.
