Press Quotes

"A characterful alternative to Milan's homogenous business hotels. This restored 19th-century palazzo on Via Goldoni may have started out life as part of the uber-cool Design Hotels collective but the hotel makes efforts to avoid being merely a fashionista hangout...17 rooms are done out in soothing styles with marble bathrooms and earthy African colours." The Independent...

"Intimate and serene, a fashion-forward townhouse with just 20 rooms and a chic collection of Chinese and African artefacts."

Townhouse 31 by The TI Review Team

Designed by Architectural Digest editor Ettore Mocchetti, Town House 31 is a nurturing boutique hotel in Milan, where every whim and need is catered to. The boutique hotel is close to many notable fashion houses, including Prada, Etro and Calvin Klein, and the combination of comfort and design makes it a favourite during fashion and design weeks.

The facilities

This isn't your typical Milanese boutique hotel – enter through the leafy passageway and you'll stumble into the beautifully designed Garden 31 Winebar, with its tropical courtyard, low tables, cushions and tented pavilion. Town House 31deliberately mixes styles and cultures – the outside area feels vaguely Argentinean, whilst breakfast is served at a long communal table beneath latticed Moroccan windows.

The rooms

The multicultural attitude of the boutique hotel extends to the 20 rooms, which are full of natural wood tones and Asian and African details.
