Amanjena is the first Amanresort ever to be opened in Africa. Resting in a copse of olive trees in Marrakech, this luxury resort offering a quiet sanctuary for its guests.

The facilities

The Amanjena’s restaurant features an a la carte menu of Moroccan home-style dishes, as well as a wide selection of international dishes. There is also a Thai restaurant which is open for any meal of the day and the Pool Terrace offers meals poolside in the summer season. A fully stocked bar is always available for a tasty cocktail as well.

Amanjena houses a fully stocked library with a wrap-around balcony, and also offers art supplies for any creative needs. This luxury resort also boasts a heated outdoor swimming pool and a spa, complete with hammam and glassed-in whirlpool. Some treatments include massages, manicures, pedicures and facials. There is also a timber-floor gym and two tennis courts.

The rooms

This luxury resort boasts 18 Pavilions and four two-storey maisons. Each pavilion includes a bedroom-living room and spacious bathroom and dressing area, all decorated in a traditional Moroccan theme. Each pavilion has a king-size platform bed and an open fireplace, complete with mini-bar, a CD player and a TV/DVD. Some of the pavilions offer a private heated pool and an extended garden.

Amanjena’s four two-storey maisons come standard with a living area, an arc-cut fireplace and a zellij wall fountain. Bathrooms are defined by marble columns, domed shower, toilet rooms and a pillared, green-marble tub. The master bedroom boasts a king-size bed and divan. A private swimming pool, a garden and minzah are all included as well.
