The Hotel du Danube is a boutique hotel in the great Left Bank position of Paris, and attracts repeat guests in droves, who often ask for the same room. It's that sort of boutique hotel - rooms come in various flavours, each with their own aspect and collection of antique or individual furnishings and a variety of fabrics. What's special about this place is, first, the family welcome, and second, the relatively spacious rooms for this part of Paris.
The rooms
The superior twins and streetside doubles are especially large, twice as large as the smaller standards, with two windows to give them plenty of light. Wallpapers are bright and patterned.
Lower rooms are best with high ceilings, especially in high summer as the boutique hotel has no a/c. However, this is not a problem most of the year. The three double courtside rooms are the smallest - opt for the street-side for size. All the superiors have lovely old antiques.
