The Hotel du Danube is a charming traditional boutique hotel in the heart of Paris’s St Germain. This attractive Napoleon III building is a treasure trove of antique furniture.
The facilities
A delicious breakfast is served in the courtyard when the weather permits, where the fake grass detracts slightly from the overall charm. There is no air conditioning in the boutique hotel but there is excellent service, a rare find in the St Germain area. The rooms
Encased in two town houses the rooms are all similarly styled, decked out with floral chintz wall fabrics, bronze lamps and wooden beds grandiosed by tall bedheads. Streetside rooms are unusually large, great value for money. Some of the rooms on the courtyard side are tiny but the quietness compensates for this. The 6 family rooms make this boutique hotel a great choice for families. Of these, the attic room is the biggest and best to go for.
