Perched amongst the pretty pastel coloured houses of Positano, Casa Albertina occupies a building with its roots in the C12th. Accessible only by one of the village’s long, winding staircases, this albergo’s corridor is lined with pretty painted doors, which open onto rooms that have been strikingly decorated in pink or blue (even the marble in the bathroom matches the rooms’ furnishings) with sea views and balconies. The style of décor in the restaurant matches the cuisine - rustic and local. The atmosphere is very relaxed at Casa Albertina, influenced largely by the friendly owner who comes from a family with a long history of hostelry in Positano - his father was once the manger at Le Sirenuse, the most expensive hotel in the village.
