Not exactly understated in style, this luxury hotel's rooms are nevertheless so comfortable you may have trouble leaving them. The quasi-medieval feel of the interior may prove a little heavy for some guests but the amenities are first rate. Many of the rooms have four poster beds and fireplaces. The hotel was created in the 1950s by joining together a series of 700-year old houses.
