  • The brand new spa spanning three floors

Children

Children are welcome to stay at the hotel, except for in rooms on the sixth floor. There are extra beds and baby cots for the room, a babysitting service, and a kids menu at the hotel restaurant. They will also leave a welcome gift in the room, depending on the age of the child.

Eating in

When Chef Francesco Carli was poached from the Hotel Cipriani in Venice, he christened the hotel restaurant after the classic Italian property and brought with him many of his signature dishes. The Pergula Restaurant is more informal and known for its Sunday brunch and traditional, pig-in-a-pot Feijoada. Both restaurants are open for lunch and dinner.

"Rio's top luxury hotel, redolent of old-school glamour"

Opened in 1923, this impressive stucco-fashioned edifice is Rio's most traditional and luxurious hotel. This landmark was designed by the French architect Joseph Gire who was inspired by two hotels, the Negresco in Nice and the Carlton in Cannes. Since opening it has only two owners, the Guinle family of Rio de Janeiro and from 1989, Orient-Express Hotels. The Copacabana Palace Hotel has undergone an extensive discreet refurbishment program, which was designed to retain and enhance the hotel's position as South America's premiere hotel.

All rooms are individually designed with fine period furniture and original works of art. Each of the rooms has view of the sea or of Copacabana Avenue. All suites have spacious and opulent sitting rooms.

The Copacabana Palace Hotel is not only the most sophisticated and remarkable hotel in Rio, it is also one of the most well equipped to satisfy the needs of its corporate guests. In addition to the latest information technology and modern facilities available in Brazil, the hotel has well-trained staff who will assist guests in any way possible and will go beyond to fulfil expectations.
