Luxury hotel The Charles is located in Munich near the peaceful Old Botanical Gardens. The unique location in the heart of the city is a serious plus for this Rocco Forte sibling, as is the atmosphere of tranquillity and serenity.

Just a short stroll away are the city's most famous shopping areas such as the Theatinerstrasse, Maximilianstrasse. Munich also offers a wide variety of museums and historical monuments, a vibrant art scene and has the renowned Englischer Garten is the largest municipal park in Europe. Munich is also the hometown of the popular Oktoberfest and beer gardens. The public train station is only a 5 minute walk away and the Munich Airport can easily be reached in a 35 minute drive.

The facilities

This luxury hotel's restaurant, Davvero, offers space for 130 guests and can be extended onto a large terrace with a beautiful view over the Old Botanical Gardens. It serves beautifully presented food, with a heavy Italian influence. A private dining room assures a more intimate atmosphere. The Charles has two bars, one of which is located in the main restaurant.

The Charles Spa houses a 15 metre indoor swimming pool, which is the largest hotel pool in Munich. Additionally, there’s a fitness area, with a wide range of state of the art equipment. The spa has six treatment rooms, including a sauna and steam bath as well as a relaxing area - plenty of space to indulge and unwind.

For business purposes, the luxury hotel offers the use of seven conference rooms, all of which are equipped with state-of-the-art technology. For weddings and other social occasions there's a ballroom that can hold up to 250 people.

The rooms

The 160 lavish guest rooms of this luxury hotel, includes 28 suites, from Junior to Presidential. All of the rooms and suites are bright, spacious and provide excellent views over the picturesque Old Botanical Garden, overlooking the breathtaking Bavarian Alps as well as the significant historic monuments of the city. All rooms have sound proof doors and windows, high speed internet access, large bathrooms with limestone vanity tops, original Nymphenburger porcelain together with a separate shower unit. The Monforte Suite (Presidential suite) can be connected with three additional suites in order to give guests free control over an entire floor – providing a total privacy of 455 square metres.
