Hotel Patou

"A handsome palette of chocolate and cream warms this sleek, minimalist boutique hotel on the famous P.C. Hooftstraat."

Hotel Patou by Jeroen Bergmans

Hotel Patou on Amsterdam’s high fashion shopping street PC Hooftstraat, round the corner from Museumplein, is named after the famous French couturier Jean Patou and is the best Amsterdam boutique hotel for architects, fashionistas and art-lovers.

The facilities

Breakfast at the boutique hotel is served at the elegant Art Deco Brasserie Patou on the ground floor where you can also feast on oysters and champagne mid-shop (it shuts at 8 pm).

The rooms

The slick interiors of the boutique hotel's 12 rooms were created by local architect Jen Alkema, and their monochrome palette compliments the Hotel Patou's collection of black and white prints which pay homage to the couturier’s elegant creations. Each room boutique hotel has all the extras you could wish for – minibar, TV, air-con, fluffy robe, safe and slippers – and the chic marble bathrooms sport fancy Zenzone toiletries. For the full fashion experience, try and bag one of the two rooms that look out onto the Chanel boutique opposite.
